I'm missing res_query etc (libresolv, resolv.h) on some platforms. Is
it considered too big to add a resolv module to gnulib? I could look
into getting the libc code to work standalone. If someone knows of a
GPL resolver implementation, that might be even better. The libc code
doesn't look all that nice to me.
For reference, libc/resolv/{ns,res}*.c is 7 kloc or so.
Similar question goes for getaddrinfo, I guess.
