A couple of quick things (using the cli):

I get errors reading met files:

I/O warning : failed to load external entity "met.dtd"
Could not load the external subset "met.dtd"
XML does not validate!
Error reading MET

You've not included the database.py script file or the gnubg.sql database 
defintion file.
