I'm just a curious fly on the wall. I noticed you mentioned the MINGW
DLL doesn't work calling it from a MS SQLServer extended stored
procedure.

Have you tried calling it from a simple test program? The reason I ask
is the first thing that went through my mind is that in such an
environment you'd want to make sure the the DLL function calls are fully
reentrant (That can cause bizarre behavior). 

Now I'll go back to my corner :)
