No, isn't this what all those annoying splash screens do? :-)
The text has always been there, but it has a delay of 0 ms. The changes
to the sound stuff has probably triggered that it is now shown for a
longer period, since the "doing nothing..." messaeg is the last one
shown before the splash screen is destroyed. The startup sound is played
inbetween...
