There's the Usenet group rec.games.backgammon, although there are a
couple of regular annoyances there who can make the newsgroup
unpleasant for other users.
I would highly recommend www.gammonline.com - it's currently USD 36
per year, but this may change to being an unpaid service soon. There
are many nice features there and a very lively web forum covering all
aspects of play and receiving contributions from top players as well
ordinary players of all ranks. I have always considered my
subscription to be one of the best deals I have ever had in backgammon
- a year of this site is more educational than any book on backgammon
with a similar price.
