Subject: Ideas to enhance gnubg's functionality

Hi,

First at all I would like to congratulate you with a fantastic
backgammon program! I really enjoy using the GNU. I have used JellyFish
3.5 Tutor until I recently started to use gnubg.

However I have a few ideas that I hope you will include in future
versions.

Here are my suggestions to how you can enhance the functionality:

You have included the hotkey Ctrl+R (Roll the dice) but I miss
Ctrl+F Finish move (Pick up dice) - as in JellyFish
I would like to move the checkers with the mouse in my right hand and
use the left hand on the keyboard for the hotkeys. This will make it
easier to play against GNU.

I don't like the slider in the lower right hand corner that moves back
and forth when GNU is considering moves. It disturbs my eyes. I would
rather have that you add dots once a second after the text "Considering
move" in the left hand corner. Or maybe "Considering move - 25%/50%/75%
finished" for instance.

Usage of RAM: I haven't got the slightest idea of how much RAM GNU is
using. I have allocated 256MB. Maybe you should include info about this
(as an option) in the right hand corner instead of the slider.

Will it be possible to import the Snowie .swm Format in the future?

Med venlig hilsen / Best regards,
