Not really. Linux help uses texi as source.

Maybe you're right. But ... in opensource projects it's no good style to
use closed source file formats. One example: A year ago I worked in a
project and showed the effect of closed source format with a latex
documentation from 1992 and the same in amipro format of 1992. Guess
what was readable and what not.

Alos I think it's better to agree on _one_ source document within the
gnubg project. If you like, you can keep track on html, doc, rtf und
pdf, but I'm too busy looking at every document twice a week. For the
basic documentation it's easier to use texi, even more, when a few
people are working on it independently.
