Manual page reads:
 
      -I RE  --ignore-matching-lines=RE
              Ignore changes whose lines all match RE.

However, this is not the "normal" regexp, but only half hearted
grep-compatible regexps.

There should be a note, that egrep-style constructs like grouping are
not supported.
