Hi,

      Facing problem to make/install gnu cross compiler:
      I am trying to make/install cross compiler as per below
configuration:
            host=sparc-sun-solaris2.8
            target=i686-pc-linux-gnu
            prefix=/home9/iagdocs/tools/gcc-2.95-i686-linux
            i=$prefix/bin
      The steps are taken from the URL:
            http://www.objsw.com/CrossGCC/FAQ-4.html
      Here is the recommended order by the above URL:
            Binutils : Version 2.13.1
            GCC :  Version 2.95

      I have successfully make/installed Binutils.

       GCC cross compiler build is failing as per below:

            Not able to locate makefile in the
/home9/iagdocs/tools/gcc-2.95/i686-pc-linux-gnu/libiberty directory

      I copied the file from /home9/iagdocs/tools/gcc-2.95/libiberty to the
above directory.

      Now facing Facing the following problem:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
      make[1]: Entering directory `/home9/iagdocs/tools/gcc-2.95
/i686-pc-linux-gnu/libiberty'
      /bin/sh ./config.status --recheck
      ./config.status: ./config.status: cannot open
      make[1]: *** [config.status] Error 1
      make[1]: Leaving directory `/home9/iagdocs/tools/gcc-2.95
/i686-pc-linux-gnu/libiberty'
      make: *** [all-target-libiberty] Error 2

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      As per traces i ckeched the file /home9/iagdocs/tools/gcc-2.95
/i686-pc-linux-gnu/libiberty/config.status is not there.

      Can any one suggest the solution/work arround.

Regards,
Dilip
