ld very very slow now

Hi,

I've just upgraded from using gcc 2.95.3 to 3.2.  My program used to 
take around 10 seconds to link.  Now it takes 158 seconds to link and 
all the time is spent in linking.  I downloaded the latest in binutils 
that you had on your website but I still have the same problem.  Any 
ideas as to what I should do?
