bug in graph -T ps

I suspect a bug in graph (GNU plotutils) 2.4.1. The command

    cat file.dat  | graph -T ps > a.ps

produces buggy postscript files, not readable by gv, 
ps2ps, etc.

At the same time the output of

    cat file.dat  | graph -T meta | plot -T ps > a.ps

is  OK.

Please let me know about a solution. Thanks.
