That immediately raises a further question: what platform did you run
Plotutils on to generate that binary CGM? Was it, by any chance, a
MS-style platform (DOS/Windows/OS2)? A superfluous 0x0d in a
supposedly binary file quite possibly indicates a file not opened in
binary mode as it ought to have been done.
