Hi Joe,

I have installed pspp via macports and here it works fine on El Capitan. Have you tried any other command that you installed over macports? If you check your
PATH variable on the terminal, do you see the macports path setting /opt/local/… similar to this:

FriedrisMacBook:~ fritz$ echo $PATH
/opt/local/bin:/opt/local/sbin:/opt/local/bin:/opt/local/sbin:/Users/fritz/Hochschule/mc/yagarto-4.6.2/bin:/opt/local/bin:/opt/local/sbin:/Users/fritz/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/opt/X11/bin:/usr/local/MacGPG2/bin:/Library/TeX/texbin
FriedrisMacBook:~ fritz$

?

I am trying to download PSPP on my MacBook (running OS X El Capitan, version 10.11.2. I have followed the instructions to download it through MacPorts, and once I input the command into Terminal, I am getting an "Insufficient privileges" error. I contacted Apple Support and they weren't able to do much about it. I am writing to see if this error has been encountered before and if there are any recommendations to resolving the issue.
