Hi, thanks for your reply!!!
After lots of tests, i discovered that the problem in importing csv files  is if i select the "automatic detect" feature in encoding.
Selecting the "Local coding CP 1252" , does the import in the right way.

There have been some recent improvements to the CSV/Spreadsheet importing code.
Can you try the more recent version and see if the problem still occurs with that.

If it does still happen,  then perhaps you could post a sample of the file you are
trying to import and the method you are using to do it.

Thanks.

    Hello from Guatemala
I downloaded and installed this pspp version:
    psppire.exe 0.8.2-gc473f9

When importing a CSV file, program hangs up and the "psppire stopped" appears.

Reading an sav file works fine
Thanks in advance for your help
