Details:

Two users have mentioned that the text import caused problems because it only
read the first 1000 lines of their data and exceptional cases started showing
up afterward. The most recent report was:
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-gnu-pspp/2013-10/msg00030.html

Discussing this in IRC with John, we came up with a few ideas for solving it.
I think that the most general solution is to add a new page to the wizard that
shows a progress bar while the data is read. By default the wizard would
continue to read data until it reached the end of the file, but after reading
some initial sample it would allow the user to click a button to skip to the
next screen.
