Error in latest Release (Windows) of lilypond

Hi there,

I suffer from a problem after installing lilypond (Mess-Windows 2000 /
98):

When trying to "lilypond" a file I recieve a message that the mutel (was
it mutel???) version is to new! Sounds funny, doesn't it?

But stopping the kidding: This is really a problem, as nothing can be
compiled and lilypond is completely unuseful.

I would be very glad to get some help,
