Doesn't seem to, if I did it correctly.
My locate-dominating-stop-dir-regexp was:
"\\`\\(?:[\\/][\\/][^\\/]+[\\/]\\|/\\(?:net\\|afs\\|\\.\\.\\.\\)/\\)\\'"
and I made it be:
"\\`\\(?:[\\/][\\/][^\\/]+[\\/]\\|/\\(?:net\\|cifs\\|afs\\|\\.\\.\\.\\)/\\)\\'"
I've tried it in my current emacs session, and on a new
emacs -Q -nw session.
I do nfs mounts under /net, and visiting files or
directories under that don't log any errors.
