Like I said, there's no reason not to trust the original results on the Java front.
Should I remind here that the common "tabs indentation" style used by Java programmers is different from what our defaults provide (which is mixed tabs and spaces, http://www.emacswiki.org/pics/static/TabsSpacesBoth.png)? As it is, we serve neither crowd, and changing the `tab-width' default is infeasible.
I've spent two years doing Java at the beginning of my career, so I'm familiar with the trending bike shed colors there (even if that was several years ago).
