Seems that way.

This is still broken.
Here's another example:
1. enter "two words" into the text field
2. M-b
3. M-t ad infinitum
one can grow the text box.

AFAICT, notmuch's notmuch-hello.el and Emacs' custom.el both do “readonly
buffer with completely functional text entry widgets” perfectly.
