Thank you Glenn. I re-run things on the new stable release: Emacs-24.3 with no luck.

Below you can find the output of my config.log after running $ ./configure --without-gif --prefix=/home/james/raid/opt/emacs/releases/emacs-24.3.

Actually, first check it it happens to build.
It should work fine if you run autogen.sh, but there's no need to do
that when building a release.
