emacs 23.3
Alt-X ielm
ELISP> (save_buffer)
The mode buffer prompts as "File to save in: ~/"

emacs 24.2
Alt-X ielm
ELISP (save-buffer)
nil

The issue seems to be with the save-buffer function or any hooks..? (Which...?)

Can anyone help me with any clues...
