Actually, that's also a source of subtle issues. In Emacs, we sometimes
use the distinction between names and buffers so that M-x
rename-uniquely can be used (together with some other command) to create
a new buffer.
And indeed, the difference between names and buffers is still relevant
when we rename buffers.
