Hello,
I have run emacs (latest release as of today) on Ubuntu Linux 9.04.
I have tried to change the fonts (options, set fonts), and have seen
a menu enlisting the available fonts. They are a lot lot less than the
ones available to the other applications, like, e.g. Firefox.
It seems that Emacs is unable to access the fonts that are installed
in the system and available to the other applications.
Note that the few fonts that are available to Emacs are rather poor
and old-fashioned.]
My request is to allow Emacs to access the fonts much the same as
the other applications.
