For years I wondered why upon starting X windows, emacs would
sometimes not all fit on the screen. A complicated mix of .emacs and
.Xresources character size stuff. Then one day I tried starting icewm
first, something like:
$ cat ~/.xsession
icewm& sleep 6; emacs& wait
Worked. You might want to document this tip somewhere.
