no way to see compilation full screen

Gentlemen, Man-notify-method has plenty of choices. I prefer bully.
But what about M-x compile?
Nope, all we can do is watch helplessly as the screen is split into
two, and we must do the C-x 0 tap dance each time.
Attempts to put delete-other-windows into compilation-mode-hook of
course fail.
