If you start-up Emacs with a filename (i.e. "emacs foo.c") or in a
tty, then you will never see the logo.

The current logo was done using the Gimp but I am not a professional
artist. I just do some things because they are fun. I thought it
would be fun to have a beautiful logo on a beautiful editor. The ugly
artifacts surrounding the gnu were a result of my inexperience with
the Gimp; this problem is fixed in the CVS version.

(Actually, I was wondering whether it would be possible to also
display the logo when Emacs is started with a filename. Currently,
during start-up, the user just stares at a blank buffer with
"loading..." messages flashing-by in the mini-buffer until foo.c is
loaded.)
