 of 2002-01-04 on ARBEIT
configured using `configure --with-gcc (2.95)'
Important settings:

  value of $LC_CTYPE: nil
  value of $LC_MESSAGES: nil
  value of $LC_MONETARY: nil
  value of $LC_NUMERIC: nil
  value of $LC_TIME: nil

  locale-coding-system: iso-latin-1
  default-enable-multibyte-characters: nil

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

This is the same NFS EOF bug I have described earlier (see subject: NFS
EOF problem).
Since it occurs with emacs-21.1 ( BOTH precompiled AND the version I
have built ) but
NOT with emacs-20.7 ( Have tried only the precompiled version ) the
problem may have
its origin in emacs. I understand completely if You are too busy to
search for this
bug, especially since you cannot verify the code with the NFS system we
are using, so
I will have a go on it myself. My question is what files except
src/fileio.c may be
involved?
