I suggest that Emacs comes witch list of files that could be
alled as "run-level-NN.el", where NN is any number. The
pre-configured these so called ".emacs" files could then be invoked
with
-l run-level-1.el
..
-l run-level-all.el
The last one could activate just about everything for C++/Java/...,
all the firecrackets, options "on", that Emacs had to offer.
