This bug report will be sent to the Free Software Foundation,
not to your local site managers!!
Please write in English, because the Emacs maintainers do not have
translators to read other languages for them.

In GNU Emacs 20.7.2 (i386-debian-linux-gnu, X toolkit)
of Tue Jul 25 2000 on raven
configured using `configure i386-debian-linux-gnu --prefix=/usr
--sharedstatedir=/var/lib --libexecdir=/usr/lib --localstatedir=/var/lib
--infodir=/usr/share/info --with-pop=yes --with-x=yes --with-x-toolkit=yes'

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

Hello GNU, i'm not sure if you're the right folks to talk to this
about, but maybe you can help me.

I just got a copy of the Progeny Debian Gnu/Linux version 1.0 and i've
been using it for about a month. I have installed emacs-20 and always
use emacs rmail to read my mail.

But i noticed that the function message-reply does not reply to the
email that i'm looking at. It seems to ignore the "narrow" and just
pluck the reply fields off the top of the RMAIL babyl file.

I have tried it without any personal .emacs file -- just the straight
distribution, and nothing works. I hope you can recognize my problem
and tell me what to do.

rocky

PS: I set up ( setq rmail-file-name "~/Mail/RMAIL" ) so that i could
have a Mail directory, and it took me until today to figure out that i
needed to create ~/Mail/drafts too. I was wondering why auto-save was
getting stuck when i was reading mail... ;)
