Yes, that's what I wanted to say.  Sorry for being not clear enough.

The reason I mentioned Emacs 19.29 is that this was the first version
I used massively, on several different machines, and that's when I
started using VC from within Emacs.  I clearly remember that C-x C-q
was the only command I used (and use mostly to this day) when working
on sources under version control.  I imagine that there are many other
users like me out there.
