Well, this is a very critical moment for the project. So:

1. Forget about the idea of the open library. Forget about Alexandria. Jimmy
has made a rushed announcement about the destruction of this project on
Slashdot. Sorry Jimmy, we are still here.

2. Mr Stallman wants to keep alive this project. He thinks that we can
combine our efforts.

3. As the title says: "Important decisions should not be rushed". We have to
define how both projects will work. I'm asking *ALL* the members of this
mailing list to suggest ideas on this issue.

So we'll spend the following week trying to find the best way for this
issue. There're almost 500 members on this mailing list. I'm sure we can
define something good.
