[bug-GIFT] prefix directive not working in gift-0.1.13?

Still trying to install gift-0.1.13 on my Debian AMD64 system. It seems 
that the --prefix option to configure is not being observed properly. I did:

./configure --prefix=$HOME

but gift-add-collection.pl (which *did* get installed in $HOME/bin) is 
full of calls to things like /usr/bin/gift-extract-features.pl. See 
attachment.

Most odd.
