1) Welcome to AffiliateProfitInfo Newsletter!
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Thanks for subscribing to AffiliateProfitInfo Newsletter,
and welcome to the first issue. As mentioned above, here
you'll find "Affiliate Program News & Marketing Tips."

To briefly familiarize you with this newsletter and the
site behind it, here are some quick points:

o The AffiliateProfitInfo web site mainly lists affiliate
programs related to e-commerce. In most cases they're
programs I've investigated and found to be proven
   winners, from reputable companies.

The site's focus is on quality, not quantity:

o As always, you should exercise due caution and check
out any affiliate program for yourself before joining.

o I don't sell ad space in this newsletter.

o I appreciate any feedback regarding the content or any
other aspect of AffiliateProfitInfo Newsletter or web
site. All ideas and suggestions are appreciated, and
   will be given serious consideration.

2) How to Add Credibility When Recruiting Sub-Affiliates
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Lack of credibility is a major obstacle to online sales.
Most any legitimate, ethical thing you can reasonably do
to build credibility with your target market is a good
thing.

One way to build credibility when trying to recruit other
sub-affiliates (as in a two-tiered affiliate program) is
to scan one of your largest commission checks and make it
available as an image file for online viewing from your
web site.

Or do similarly with an image capture (screen shot) of
your online sales stats. Notice how I've done this for the
Instant Sales Letters affiliate program offered by Yanik
Silver (which earns regular commission checks for me):

3) A Way to Track the Traffic You Send to Other Sites
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Following is a "techie" tip. If you can't set it up, maybe
you can pass it along to a techie on your team...

You can track the traffic you send to affiliate sites (or
any other site) by setting up a web page on your own site
that has "meta refresh" code in it. All you need is the
ability to check the traffic stats on your own site.

When visitors click on a link to the meta refresh page on
your site, they'll be redirected from it to any URL (on
your site or elsewhere) specified in the meta refresh
section of the HTML code.

Following is an example of such a file, set up to redirect
to the ProfitInfo home page.

To use it, just replace the parentheses with the angle
brackets used in HTML code, give the file a descriptive
name, change the URL in the "content=" section to any
web page you want to redirect to, and upload it to your
site:

(!-- Start Meta Refresh Redirect Code ---)

(html)
(head)
(title)(/title)
(meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;
url=http://ProfitInfo.com/";)
(/head)
(body)
(/body)
(/html)

(!-- End Meta Refresh Redirect Code---)

Aside from letting you track the traffic you send to any
site through your own site's web logs, this trick also
offers the following advantages:

o It hides your affiliate link and prevents it from being
bypassed, ensuring that you don't lose commissions as a
   result.

o It helps make long affiliate links shorter and more
manageable. (At times, some hyperlinks are so long that
they wrap to a second line in email messages, making it
harder for users to access them, not to mention likely
   site access problems.)

o Search engines typically will not index files ending in
.CGI (which many affiliate links end in), but they will
   index HTML files.

Note: While it's true that certain SE's won't index
meta refresh pages because some try to abuse search
engines with them, some *will* index them (which is
   better than none at all).

All existing members of the ProfitInfo Affiliate Program
have access to a fun custom redirect code creation tool
for instantly creating redirect pages for all ProfitInfo
Affiliate links.

It's in the password-protected Affiliate Tools area:

4) A "Must Do" Before Starting Any Affiliate Program
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

A tip for affiliate program owners (existing or future):

Before launching any affiliate program, it's a very good
idea to test and refine the sales process, in order to
improve the conversion rate right from the start. As
savvy marketers are fond of saying, you should "test,
test, test" first.

Serious marketers never really stop testing, but it's
better to start doing so *before* launching an affiliate
program.

The more commissions your affiliates earn, the more likely
they'll remain loyal to your program. And of course you'll
earn more profits from the same level of traffic.

testing resource, at:
