[bug-gawk] Feature request

I wonder if it might be possible to incorporate some way to set the number of errors gawk reports before it gives up and dies. I ask because a single parse error can trigger a cascade of additional errors - most of which are not only irrelevant but have the effect of scrolling the actual triggering error off the screen. Then it becomes a game of "can I stop the scroll fast enough to actually see the real error?"

Just a thought.
