Hi Assaf.
How did you compile gawk? Which compiler? Which architecture is
this?
If it's gcc, I'd suggest recompiling without optimization
make clean
edit Makefile to remove -O2
make
and see if it still fails.
If none of that helps, can you provide ssh access?
