Thanks Hermann & Manuel for the examples.

It is not surprising that the pretty printer gets some of this stuff
wrong; it has never been really thoroughly exercised, although I think
we're starting to excise most of the remaining problems.

I have fixes for both cases and will reply again later with a
patch and some more info.  I hope to get the fixes into the repo
within 24 hours.

Hermann - I wish to thank you again for the high quality of your
bug reports; you set an excellent example. I wish all the bug reports
I get were like yours. :-)  (Yes, I know, I should just stop adding bugss...)
