Hi again,
Below some smaller issues and observations. Regards, Hermann
(A)
I wonder if it could make sense to add this into awklib/.gitignore, for
the benefit of Mac users (among the bug reporters ;-), so that git
status would'nt show "unknown" files:
# Directories
grcat.dSYM
pwcat.dSYM
Maybe make distclean should also take care of these directories.
(B)
On latest Mac OS X, latest Acrobat Reader and gawk.pdf generated from
trunk: Acrobat Reader always crashes whenever I click on a link in the
neighbourhood of the word "SYMTAB", both in text and index. Any other of
the 100+ links that I tried works fine.
Maybe "SYMTAB" is some sort of reserved word for "symbol table",
somewhere down the road, as the Reader's crash report has some
mentioning of:
com.apple.DebugSymbols (106 - 106)
<FC70F4C9-B2A6-352F-9563-6C085E9DDDB8>
/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/DebugSymbols.framework/Versions/A/DebugSymbols
I could well be wrong, though. Another thought was that the issue had to
do with commit 8beb41f95ad7c273eab9c0494ffb0acd7ace2800. But most likely
this is a wrong thought either, as other links just work fine.
Eventually I concluded that it is an Acrobat Reader issue as it
disappears when opening the very same pdf file by using Mac's builtin
Preview.app.
(C, for Andrew)
Should the gawkextlib perhaps stop copying the xmlgawk wrapper into my
bin directory, as there is no xgawk executable anymore in the first place?
