Summary: Feature request: find -printf : new directive for file type
Original Submission: It would be nice to be able to say "find -printf '%p
%yn'" where "%y" is a placeholder for the type of the file (directory, regular
file, symlink, pipe, etc.) in the same format as accepted for "find -type X".
Currently to get this to work, scripts must issue multiple "find -type X"
commands, enumerating the file types they are interested in, which results in
multiple passes over the file system.
