What in particular?  I haven't poked at the source for either thus far.

But if an irreconcilable licensing snag should exist, a wealth of potential
vim alternatives are available including "vi" itself.  I have no particular
bias toward vim, other than it being low hanging fruit in most linux distros.

It just seems far more intuitive for the user if mental adjustment to the
syntax highlight dialect of different tools can be avoided.
