  Just so you know, this is likely a bug in Tcl on Cygwin. puts is a Tcl
command, and should not produce an error.

  I have no idea why this was there. I assume I inherited it from a merge
with Redhat CVS. I just nuked, as it looks like somebody's debugging message.
