DDD 3.3.1 and GCC 3.2 Compile problems

There appears to be a problem compiling DDD with GCC-3.2
due to a string class error. There are a number of postings
on the internet requesting help to correct this.

No solution appears to be available, DDD may need to redefine
some of its class declarations or make the fix.

In the meantime, DDD still compiles fine with GCC-2.95.x.
I plan to make a static build of it with that compiler for use
on GCC 3.2 systems.
