I don't suppose a `make clean' before your next rebuild would fix
anything?  I've never seen anything like these errors you are
reporting, but I don't work on Windows much.

Perhaps a pass through some unix2dos tool too to catch any potential
bad EOLs?  Assuming it was a tool that wouldn't convert \r\n to \r\r\n...
