Do you know, that this _is_ the reason of my problem or is this just your assumptation?

If this would be true, then no one could trust CVS in combination with SSH any longer.

It can affect any command that produces lots of output quickly --
history, log, and annotate are some of the most likely victims, but
other commands can have problems, too.  Go read the tread I pointed you
to: it contains detailed explanations of the problem.
