CVS pserver login bug in client

From: Barhorst Nathan
Subject: CVS pserver login bug in client

To start, here's my setup: MacOSX V10.2.6, CVS
V1.11.6.

I was able to setup CVS, I could telnet into port
2401, but I couldn't log in. Here's a screen dump, as
well as the solution:

------------------
[Zen-Master:~] ngb_root% cvs -d
:pserver:address@hidden:/cvs login

Logging in to :pserver:address@hidden:2401/cvs
CVS password:

cvs login: warning: failed to open
/Users/ngb_root/.cvspass for reading: No such file or
directory
------------------

And the fix:

------------------
[Zen-Master:~] ngb_root% cvs
-d:pserver:address@hidden:/cvs login

Logging in to :pserver:address@hidden:2401/cvs
CVS password:

[Zen-Master:~] ngb_root%
------------------

See the difference? In the second one, where I was
able to log in, there is no space after the "-d" and
":pserver:...".

To give credit where credit is due, I first found the
fix at
http://mail.gnu.org/archive/html/info-cvs/2003-03/msg00313.html

Hope this helps someone!
