I do not see this on cvs-1.11.  I just checked cvs-1.11.5 and it has the
same problem as the ccvs version.  It too has the same problem as the
OpenServer mentioned above with the addition of that above.

Can you determine why this is happening? I'm looking at the code and I can't imagine why struct_buffer wouldn't compile complete on any given platform, much less why your compiler is munging the `shutdown' element into `_shutdown'. Perhaps checking diffs of the relevant sources between 1.11 and 1.11.5 would help?
