Hello all,
on a Compaq Tru64 UNIX V5.1 I was able to do
./configure and
make
CVS V1.11.1p1 successfully!, but a
make install
stops with a
...
.././install-sh -c sccs2rcs /usr/local/share/cvs/contrib/sccs2rcs
# FIXME - this path should be determined dynamically from bindir
#: No such file or directory
*** Exit 1
...
The FIXME comes from the ./contrib/Makefile*:
...
install-data-local:
# FIXME - this path should be determined dynamically from bindir
# & contribdir
...
It may be that "# & contribdir" was not expanded when the Makefiles
where created - there are postings considering automake v1.4a ...
But are these two line needed?
Sorry!: but after deleting these two lines them I'v got CVS installed.
Many thanks in advance
Best regards
Uwe
