Something else that ‘never made it to my active vocabulary/grammar’..
Hence I missed it.. I even foolishly tested it like so:
| $ bash
| $ shopt -s dotglob; ..
| $ exit
But the question really was... ‘is there a downside to setting dotglob
in--e.g. .. ~/.bashrc’..?
