Funny how you've asked this probably a dozen or more times, and haven't
gotten a response, yet. :\

However, since sed and awk were involved, the user may (depending on his
level of understanding) have legitimately thought that the report should
go here (well, at least for awk), so it might be coincidence that the OS
 is Ubuntu.

To Ratnaveni: could you please tell us how you found this list, and why
you thought it was the best place to report the problem?

It's usually best to supply us with the actual text of the error that
occurred, appearing in its original context. From the little information
you've given us so far, the problem actually isn't awk or sed, but that
the program (installer?) you're running is either using an invalid path
to invoke them, or doesn't have the PATH environment variable set up
correctly. But without more detailed information, it's impossible to
know for sure what's going on.
