You do not have permission to write to this directory, probably because 
you're running as an non-privileged user.

bug-coreutils is a mailing list for reporting problems with GNU 
coreutils only. swftools and Ubuntu have their own mailing lists where 
you can ask for assistance, but in this case it appears that all that's 
needed is to try again as root.
