   Can cat -h be added as an alias of --help please?

Why?  Seems utterly useless for --help, rather save it for something
that is potentionally useful.

The GNU convention is to support the short getopt, and getoptlong style in many utils

for example, objcopy
 -h --help                        Display this output

and strings:
 -h --help                 Display this information

So why should cat be any different? Are doubt there are extra features for cat which require any extra arguments as it comes from the POSIX specs..
